How do I get there by car? (Alban Arena, St Albans)

St Albans is situated close to the city centre.

Parking is available to the rear of the Alban Arena in the Civic Centre Car Park (use the postcode AL1 3JS). The car park is pay and display during the day, and free after 6.30pm every evening.

Written Directions:

From M1 motorway southbound: Leave the motorway at Junction 8 signposted to St Albans. Take the A5183 southbound, around Redbourn village. At the roundabout turn left, signposted St Albans. Entering St Albans take the second exit at the roundabout, straight ahead. Bear right at the mini roundabout for the Russell Avenue, Drovers Way, Christopher Place and other car parks.

From M1 motorway northbound: Leave the M1 at Junction 6 and join the North Orbital Road A405 signposted to St Albans. At the roundabout (M25 junction 21A) take the second exit straight ahead. At the next roundabout (Noke Hotel/Shell petrol station) take the second exit. Proceed straight ahead at the first roundabout and the second roundabout (M10/A414) take the second exit straight ahead (Watling Street). At the King Harry pub turn right for St Albans City Centre, Westminster Lodge car park and other car parks.

From M25 clockwise: Leave the M25 at Junction 21A (signposted St Albans and London North West) then at the roundabout take the first exit onto the North Orbital Road A405 signposted St Albans. At the roundabout (Noke Hotel/Shell petrol station) take the second exit. Proceed straight ahead at the first roundabout and the second roundabout (M10/A414) take the second exit straight ahead (Watling Street). At the King Harry pub turn right for St Albans City Centre, Westminster Lodge car park and other car parks.

From M25 anti-clockwise: Leave the M25 at Junction 22 (signposted St Albans) and at the roundabout take the third exit onto the A1081 signposted St Albans, passing back over the motorway. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto the A1081 London Colney By-Pass. At the London Colney roundabout take the third exit onto the A1081 London Road (signposted St Albans). Proceed along London Road for some two miles into St Albans City Centre and The Maltings, London Road, Keyfield Terrace and other car parks.
