What age is Alton Towers suitable for?

Tickets are required for all guests 90cm tall and over when you book tickets for Alton Towers. All children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult of 18 years and above. Children under 90cm tall can visit the park for free. They will need a free ticket which can be collected at the gate on the day you attend.

The following height and age restrictions apply:

Guests must be 1.4m or over to ride Nemesis, Galatica, The Smiler, Oblivion and Rita (Rita has a maximum height of 1.95m).

1.2m or over to ride Wicker Man, THI3TEEN (maximum height of 1.96m) and Spinball Whizzer (maximum heigh of 1.95m).

1.1m or over to ride Marauder's Mayhem (guests must be over 1.3m or over to ride without an adult).

1.0m or over to ride The Blade (guests must be over 1.3m or over to ride without an adult).

0.9m or over to ride Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop and Justin's House Pie-O-Matic Factory.

0.9m or over (or 1.1m or over to ride without an adult) to ride Runway Mine Train, Congo River Rapids, Battle Galleons, Heave Ho, Frog Hopper and Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure.

0.9m or over (or 1.4m or over to ride without an adult) to ride Enterprise.
