Car Park – National Theatre basement, accessed from Upper Ground
Opening times: 6am to 12 midnight (Mon – Fri) and 7am to 12 midnight (Sat and Sun)
Access users please note: when the National Theatre building is closed there is no step-free access from the car park.
This applies all day on Sundays, and before 9.30am and after 11pm on most other days.

The entrance ramp to the car park is at the south-west corner of the National Theatre, on Upper Ground, by Theatre Avenue (the road between the National Theatre and the British Film Institute).
Car park charges for cars and motorcycles
Parking spaces in the basement car park are £8.50 after 5pm
If you attend a daytime ticketed event and leave before 7pm the charge is £8.50.
A combined matinee and evening show rate is £15.00.
Validation must be obtained from the Box Office for these two options.
Sundays/public holidays: £8.50 all day, no validation required.
Early Bird offer: Mon – Fri, arrive between 6am and 9.30am, and leave by 6.30pm for £12.
Hourly tariff for cars and motorcycles not attending National Theatre performances:
2 hours £7, 4 hours £11, 8 hours £16, 12 hours £24, 24 hours £28
Lost tickets will be charged at full daily rate.
Payment: There are four payment machines: one in the car park near the entrance to the theatre, that takes cash and cards, and one in the car park towards the BFI exit, and two in the basement lobby that take cards. Touch cards can also be used at the exit barriers.
