Getting to us...
By Public Transport
The Metrolink is well connected throughout Greater Manchester. Our venue is located opposite the Sale Metrolink station. There are a number of buses stopping close to Waterside.
By Car
We don't have any parking of our own, however there are a couple of options if you are a blue badge holder:-
- There are limited spaces on Tatton Place (at the rear of the Slug and Lettuce pub). The postcode for which is M33 7ED. A map link can be found here. Please note this is a one way street, accessed via Claremont Road.
- There are plenty of spaces located in QPark Wateside. The postcode for this is M33 2AE. A map link can be found here. Charges apply.
- There is also plenty of on street parking around Sale Town Centre, close to Waterside.
Arrival...
There is an access ramp at the front of hte building, taking you to the main entrance on level 1. From here, all floors can be accessed via the lift.
At the venue...
Inside the Robert Bolt Theatre, we have two dedicated wheelchair spaces, along with level access seats for those requiring them. Row R of the theatre is also level access, via the lift to level 2. Each row in the theatre has two steps between. Accessible seating can be booked directly with our box office team on 0161 912 5616.
For any shows in the Chambers, this can be accessed via the lift to level 2. As most shows are unreserved, do let our box office team know if you'll require wheelchair access, or need a seat reserving.
We provide a ticket for an essential carer at no charge. This must be booked in advance either in person or over the phone, this is available for all shows that Waterside programme and we encourage all of our hirers to do the same.
Assistance dogs are most welcome, let our box office team know and we can arrange some water and a suitable location in the theatre.
There is a loop system in operation for users of hearing aids.
There are accessible toilets on all levels. of the venue.
Relaxed performances...
We occasionally stage relaxed performances at Waterside. These are open to anyone, but primarily aimed at young people and adults that may prefer a more relaxed approach to visiting the theatre. We reduce down the sound levels, limit any special effects and keep the house lights up a little. All visitors are welcome to come and go as they please throughout the theatre.
