General Access
Rhodes Arts Complex is firmly committed to enabling all our customers to participate in our events equally and with dignity and respect. We aim to be accessible to all, offering a varied programme of events and exhibitions and providing special facilities to meet the needs of our customers. Hearing Dogs & Guide Dogs are welcome.
Wheelchairs
Each area within Rhodes Arts Complex is accessible for people using Wheelchairs. We has a lift for access to the first floor and Bishop’s Stortford Museum. Customers who require particular seating arrangements in order to accommodate difficulties they may have in attending performances should contact the Box Office. There are two wheel chair positions within the main auditorium should you require one of these please advise the Box Office Staff.
Toilets
Rhodes Arts Complex has two disabled toilets, located on the ground floor near the main stairs and on the first floor near the Cedar Room. All our toilets have emergency call systems installed to provide our customers reassurance. Each toilet allows for individuals with right hand and left-handed impairments.
Parking
Car parking for people with disabilities (two spaces) is available within Rhodes car park, during busy periods we advise customers to arrive early to ensure a space as the car park does fill up quickly.
Hearing
To enhance sound for the hearing impaired in our theatre and in the reception area, an Induction Loop system is installed. If you wish to use the facility you should switch your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.
