The building and facilities are accessible for all and we welcome customers with disabilities or who require particular assistance. We request that customers who use a wheelchair, are registered disabled or have specific seating or access requirements contact the Box Office direct to ensure that your requirements are met. There is level access to the ground floor of the centre, lift access to the first floor and accessible toilets in the main and upper foyers. There is level access to the stalls area of the auditorium with wheelchair spaces available. Wheelchair spaces and disabled concessions are not available through online booking.
Our Essential Access Companion Scheme exists to enable all patrons to equally participate in The Sands Centre's events. The scheme is offered to those who require a companion to assist them in accessing the facilities and with the purpose of ensuring the safety and enjoyment of the scheme member.
An induction loop facility is installed for hearing aid users, subject to performance technical requirements. Enabling dogs are most welcome, please inform the box office when booking. Large print, audio and braille versions of our programme are available on request. Please do not hesitate to ask our staff for assistance during your visit.
There are 16 disabled access parking spaces available free of charge at the front of the building for blue badge holders. These spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved. The car park is administered by Carlisle City Council (please visit carlisle.gov.uk for further information).
