BY BUS
Cardiff Bus operates several services to the Cardiff Bay area and there is a bus stop outside the front of Wales Millennium Centre.
The BayCar connects with Cardiff Queen Street Station, St Mary’s Street and Cardiff Central railway station. Various other routes connect across the city, visit Cardiff Bus website to plan your journey.
BY TRAIN
Great Western Railway (GWR) run services between West Wales and London Paddington, stopping at Cardiff Central and Arriva Trains Wales have regular local services across Wales.
There is a regular train service from Cardiff Queen station to the bay which runs every 12 minutes and takes less than 5 minutes. Visit National Rail Enquiries to plan your journey by rail.
BY BOAT
AquaBus runs a waterbus service travelling from Cardiff Castle via Penarth to the bay. The waterbus runs from the city centre to the bay every hour at half past, and from Penarth to the bay every hour at twenty minutes past.
The bus has full wheelchair access, as well as level access for infirm or elderly passengers.
BY BIKE
Cardiff Bay is connected to the city centre by the Taff Trail cycle path; look out for Taff Trail signs running alongside the river from opposite the Principality Stadium.
The Taff Trail also continues northwards providing a cycle friendly route all the way to Brecon. There is also a cycle lane and footpath, running along the A4232 from the Cardiff Bay Retail Park.
